Take Back Bangladesh Concert Pictures

Its over! And despite a late start, missing bands, and electricity failure – I think it was a success. Music was great. By some estimates about 13,000 people turned up (we had expected 500 or so) as did many of the last Caretaker Government Advisers, celebs and “civil” society leaders.

Even if our message got through to a small portion of the crowd I think we’ve made a start. It is now up to us to take this spark and light a fire.

Thank you everyone who came, supported, advised, encouraged, helped and inspired us.

What a great concept.. Age janle ar kota din theke ashtam Dhakai. By the way, Farhan, I am not sure if you remember me. We met long time ago at Sabrina and Faisal's wedding. Anyhow, I am a regular reader of your blogs. Keep up the good work.

Congrats Farhan Bhai for the success of this event. This shows again your organization strength.

However I could not find any news in the Prothom or the Daily Star. Did the broadcasting media highlight this event? If there were not enough coverage this time, we need to keep this in mind for the future events. Amplification and exposure is a must requirement and will make the effort more successful.

I hope follow up articles will be written and published by Zafar, Tasneem and Ahmede.

So are any more concerts planned? You should propose a schedule of further dates and venues in different towns in order to get more people on board.

Thank you. It was a success because of everyone's support.

Mishu: Do remember. You were at Hofstra right? Now Chicago? What are you doing these days? Do give us a holler when you are in Dhaka next.

Reswan: Yes the coverage in Prothom Alo was poor. But we are trying to get them to do an exclusive interview / coverage.

Zeeshan: Thanks for coming. I hope it wasn't too loud for the baby. Hey good luck on your new site. I used to check out your liberalislam site from time to time.
